All the Feels
Testimonial from the Convenor of World Class to World Best 2022

During February 2022, our team were lucky enough to partner with the Australian Institute of Sport for the staging of their 100% virtual World Class to World Best event. This was an incredible partnership that reaped all the reward with fantastic attendee feedback, and we could not be prouder of our operations team.
Event Debrief
franc.sydney 2022 a Resounding Success

The GEMS team delivered the inaugural franc.sydney 2022 event on 28 - 30 March, bringing together a community of individuals and organisations who are, in some way, connected to or affected by urban stormwater and those passionate about changing the way the industry operates to become more future-focussed, resilient, adaptive and connected.

Over 150 planners, engineers, landscape architects, ecologists, economists, researchers and educators gathered in Sydney for the two-day event.

The overarching concept of ‘franc’, which has been developed by Stormwater NSW with the support of a variety of partners, was to challenge the rationale of current practice and perception of urban stormwater and its management.

The Conference was a resounding success! The diversity of conference delegates and types of presentations from the stormwater industry, research sector, government and community was excellent, and early feedback suggests that delegates consider the intent, purpose and ultimate roll out of the conference to be what is needed to drive sustainable development in a climate uncertain future.

Funding Support for Events at Queensland Convention Centres

As always, our team is on the lookout for available grants and funding opportunities that can be accessed by our clients looking to host conferences across Australia.
